Here it is... the official blog for Biology at The Elon School. I'm pumped for the coming year! We will start by talking about the theory of evolution, then explore all the evidence out there to support it-- from chemistry, to physics, to anatomy, physiology, and ecology. It's a fantastically fun course that is challenge, but very much worth the effort. This is the official class spot for schedules, homework assignments, announcements, and cool links. WELCOME BACK!

Hope you all had a wonderful break!

Now let's plow on to Chapter 8:

POWER POINT FOR CHAPTER 8 IS HERE!

This week we'll make mitosis cupcakes, take a mitosis quiz on Wednesday, and complete the cell cycle.

Then it's off to DNA replication, and we'll extract *YOUR* DNA and put it in a sweet little necklace.

Allow me a couple of days to get our schedule established... but plan for a test on chapters 8-9 just before MLK Weekend.
