Here it is... the official blog for Biology at The Elon School. I'm pumped for the coming year! We will start by talking about the theory of evolution, then explore all the evidence out there to support it-- from chemistry, to physics, to anatomy, physiology, and ecology. It's a fantastically fun course that is challenge, but very much worth the effort. This is the official class spot for schedules, homework assignments, announcements, and cool links. Please check in at least once a week.

THIS WEEK AND NEXT IN BIOLOGY:

We're two days into Chapter 4. Have you read it? PLEASE READ SECTIONS 4.1 TO 4.7 BY MONDAY! We'll skip 4.8 and 4.9.

Next week we really take off with this chapter and learning about photosynthesis.

PLASMOLYSIS LAB QUESTIONS due MONDAY 10/4!!
CHAPTER 4 QUESTIONS due WEDNESDAY.
also due WEDNESDAY: complete a diagram of the light reactions and the Calvin Cycle!
CHAPTER 4 TEST on FRIDAY OCTOBER 8TH!!
